Hi, I'm Joshua 👋

Senior full-stack engineer in Toronto. 12+ years of production web apps in TypeScript, Vue.js and PHP/Laravel. I like turning one-off code into well-tested, documented, shared packages, and I build the tooling I use.

What I'm working on

  • json-fs-query: a SQL-like query language and engine for JSON files, with a hand-written parser, schema statements and indexes; now building its interactive CLI.
  • js-build-tools: the shared build, test and docs pipeline behind nearly 20 of my repositories (esbuild, Babel, TypeScript, Jest, Playwright, TypeDoc/JSDoc).
  • AI agent tooling (private for now): implementer and reviewer agents in sandboxed containers, each with its own GitHub App identity. They turn GitHub issues into pull requests that pass a build, test and lint gate and get a review before I approve them. The jheagle-agent[bot] pull requests on these repos are its work.

Libraries: pseudo-dom (a lightweight DOM for testing), common-exports, test-fs, si-funciona, collect-your-stuff. Apps built on them: battleship (real-time multiplayer over Socket.IO), workout-planner.

What I value: well-tested code, documented decisions, and simple solutions someone else (or future me) can pick up.
