I'm Naim Matasci.
I build computational platforms that help research organizations turn data into discovery. My work spans AI-driven molecular design, computational pathology, genomics, bioinformatics, data engineering, and scientific software development. Over the course of my career, I have helped develop large-scale research cyberinfrastructure for both plant science and cancer research, combining expertise in computational biology, bioinformatics, data platforms, and applied AI.
Currently my work focuses on oncology. Previously, I worked on human evolution, biodiversity informatics and ecology, and plant sciences.
This profile preserves some of the work I've done while at the iPlant Collaborative (later CyVerse) and the Center for Applied Molecular Medicine of USC (CAMM). In 2021 the Ellison Medical Institute became an independent organization and my work moved to a separate profile (@nmatasci-eitm).
